One of the best cream puffs I've ever tasted!

I'm a nut for all things sweet, dairy, and especially if they come packed in or placed on pastries.
Happened to just be in 1Utama today and with not many people hanging around the mall, Huei Ying, Ash, her friend and yours truly decided to give the cream puff cart just opposite the Jusco Supermarket counters a try.

"Choux cream" they call it. From the display puffs, you can see they are rather large in size, slightly larger or about the same size than a KFC O.R. fillet burger.
They go for RM1.80 a piece and when you purchase 4, one comes free. While you go make your pay at the food counters' cashier, the attendants pump in fresh cream in to the puffs and package them in cute boxes, all ready to go.

Choux cream: box

Don't expect the insides to be lined with satin lah (duh!) Each puff is wrapped in tissue, convenient for handling them and for cleaning up the sides of your mouth :D

Generously snowed with icing they are :D

The difference becomes obvious with the very first bite. The pastry is not like the typical kind of tough, molar-tearing puff..It's surprisingly CRUNCHY and the rest of it just melts in your mouth! Although it has a slight eggish flavour, the cream is super whippy, not very sweet at all and the explosion of textures in your mouth...mmm...

The verict of me and my fellow connoisseurs at that time? The perfect snack, comfort food, and visitng gifts :D

You have no idea what you're missing if you dun try it. SERIOUSLY

Thanks for the tip. I always see them but have yet to try them as I usually get the ones from Sun Moulin.

Hi April,

This is a new thing to me - cake pornography!

My, it's better than the other sort, isn't it?

Good luck with the exams.

Peace,

Bob
